Voice Studio runs locally on Mac and Windows, and your audio stays on-device. Internet is only needed for model downloads, the first desktop-trial start, and occasional license refresh.

Installation & Setup
A recent Mac or Windows PC. Any Mac from 2020 or newer works great. You need at least 16 GB of memory (24 GB is better for the highest-quality voices) and about 20 GB of free space.
Download Voice Studio from your account, open the file, and drag the icon into your Applications folder. The first time you open it, right-click the app and choose Open to approve it.
Download the installer from your account and run it. If Windows warns about an unrecognised publisher, choose "More info" and then "Run anyway". Reinstalling over an existing version is safe.
The first time, Voice Studio downloads the voice files it needs. This is the only time you need internet (besides setting up). It usually takes 5 to 20 minutes depending on your connection.
Licensing & Activation
New installs can start the built-in 3-day desktop trial on first launch. After you buy, open Settings, paste in your license key, and click Activate.
Two: a monthly plan at $9.99/mo and a lifetime plan at $99 one-time ($89 during the launch sale). Both unlock every feature. The desktop app separately includes a one-time 3-day trial before you buy.
The desktop app starts a one-time 3-day trial the first time it reaches the licensing backend from a machine. When that trial ends, billable features lock until you buy a monthly or lifetime license and activate the key.
Open the Manage subscription link in your account, or reply to any receipt email from us. If you cancel after purchase, you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
Your card is automatically retried for up to 7 days. Voice Studio keeps working during that time. If the retries don't succeed, access is paused until you update your payment method.
Each license (monthly or lifetime) activates on up to 2 devices you own or control.
Sign in to your dashboard and copy the license key listed under your purchased products.
Yes. Deactivate from the old device and activate again on the new one using the same key.
Yes, all minor and patch updates within your purchased major version are included.
Yes. Buy lifetime from the pricing page, then cancel the monthly subscription in the portal. Your existing downloads and voice profiles are unaffected.
Reinstall and use the same key. If device limits appear, deactivate from old install first if possible or contact support.
Voice Cloning & TTS
Yes. You are responsible to comply with our ethics rule in Terms, including having consent for cloned voices.
Use 10–30 seconds of clean, quiet, single-speaker speech. Save as WAV/MP3/FLAC at 16 kHz or higher and remove noise.
Export WAV, MP3 (up to 320 kbps), and FLAC. Default is 24 kHz; 44.1 or 48 kHz is available for advanced workflows.
English is the main production quality language. Other languages (Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese) are currently in beta.
No. You must have explicit consent, and cloning public voices without rights is not allowed.
There is no strict limit. Long scripts are split into chunks automatically and queued for smooth generation.
Privacy & Offline Usage
Internet is required for model downloads, starting the first-run trial, and occasional license refresh. The app can still keep working offline for short signed-lease windows between refreshes.
No. Voice processing is local, and we do not receive uploaded audio.
By default in your local Voice Studio data folder; you can change output location in Settings.
No telemetry by default. Manual bug logs are only exported by user action and then emailed to support.
Troubleshooting
First, make sure your system is up to date. On Mac, right-click the app and choose Open to approve it the first time. If it still doesn't work, reinstall it from your account.
Re-run model download in Settings → Models with a stable internet connection and enough free disk space.
Switch to High Quality voice, use a cleaner reference clip, and ensure language matches target output.
Deactivate a used device in Settings or request manual reset with your license key and account email.
Use Standard voice for long sessions or heavy scenes, close heavy apps, and batch jobs where possible.
Billing & Refunds
Just email support with your license key or order number. Refunds are available within 14 days, no questions asked.
A receipt is emailed to you right after checkout. You can also pull up invoices anytime from the Manage subscription link in your account.
No student discount is currently offered. Teams can request bulk discounts for 5+ licenses.
